Just gone in to production are a pair of BrightSign compatible boards for controlling servos. To add basic animatronics or movement to your BrightSign projects, you can soon use either our new GPIO triggered board or USB controlled board.
GPIO Version:
This version allows you to set a start and stop position with a pair of variable resistors for 4 seperate servo control outputs. When the GPIO is opened or closed, the servo will move to the start and stop positions you set.
The board also retains the remaining GPIO connectors as pass-through to allow full use of the remaining 4 GPIO controls.
USB Version:
This version uses the reliable and more versatile serial over USB protocol to send ASCII strings to the board to precisely control position and transition time.
By entering a string naming the position in degrees and travel time in milliseconds, you can drive upto 4 servos independantly from eachother.
Both boards have a small footprint and require external power to drive the servos.
These boards will be for sale in early December 2023 complete with full documentation.
